I got into advertising after being a cinematographer on music videos, low-budget features, documentaries, spots and other kinds of films after discovering I like coming up with concepts and ideas more than just executing them.

Now I write ads: traditional, non-traditional, interactive, edutainment, story-based, broadcast, PR stunts and experiential marketing events.

This blog focuses somewhat on ads and the business of advertising. But since I’m curious about things besides advertising I also write about stuff like boxingjargon, how to persuade economists and policy wonks that investing in basic science will produce future prosperity, improving user experience, as well as the effect that math may have on creativity. And I find ways to show these topics are relevant to marketing and advertising. I hope you enjoy them and welcome your comments.
